So I THOUGHT I was too young to see a heart Dr!

Well, sorry I am have been a lil MIA. I am SO SO SORRY if you've emailed me and I haven't replied. I will get them all answered today, pinky promise!

For several weeks I have been having chest pains. Nothing really bad. They come and go. I chalked it up to "life"...."stuff"....."stress"......"anxiety"... {wait til you have a child that drives!} Anyway, it got really bad this past week. Constant. Thursday was really bad. {the margaritas helped me forget about it for a moment!}

I went in to see our friend who is a GP. While I was there I had him x-ray my ankle. {that morning started off with a life ins. appt as soon as I rolled out of bed, she was here drawing blood, ugh} So, I had an EKG, chest x-ray and then some x-rays of my foot and ankle. Turned out to be a "nasty sprain" and was told I can't run for T W O weeks and to stay off it as much as possible......balls! {this is my newest word....since I don't cuss, it makes me feel cool}

The EKG and chest x-ray came back fine. They still wanted to be 100% sure so called and got me in a few hrs later with a cardiologist. I went.....we talked.....he has scheduled me for an echocardiogram and stress test this Thursday. No idea how I'll do the stress test cause as I am typing, my sweet hubby is wrapping my ankle with a ice pack and ace bandage.

So, ahem, what a day that was. I was a little scared. Still am. At least next week I'll have answers. If it's not my heart, we will move on to something else!

I feel so bad that I haven't been reading and keeping with my girls the past few days!! I will be hitting the blogs today, promise:) Can't wait to see how everyones weekend went.

Oh....on an even not so better note, my Tory Burch Reva's arrived. I paid an extra $25 to have them over nighted. BALLS BALLS BALSS They killed my feet. They looked so flippin cute but hurt like (*&^@#%. I wear a 6.5, tried on a 6.5 & a 7 at a local store {ofcourse they didn't have the ones I wanted} and decided on the 6.5. I wore them through the pain. The Mr said to order a 7 and he'll stick these on eBay. I could spit nails. balls. Do they have any give at all? I have worn them around the house with 2 pair of socks on, ha. Talk about hurt.

We went out to dinner for my little brothers birthday Friday night. He turned 29. He's 6"4 but he is still my LITTLE brother, ha! His daughter stayed the night with us. I forgot what it's like to have a 4 yr old....so funny.....so flippin funny! I didn't have my camera so i am patiently waiting on someone to send me some pics from dinner. I do have this taken with my phone:) She loves her MiMi!! {she is wearing more make up than I am!ha}
{yes, I have curly hair! I am trying to give my CHI a break since she hasn't been too sweet to my lately!}

 Mini-Me stayed at a friends the entire weekend. I hate it when she is gone. I love for her to be here but am thankful that she has friends in our old city that she still keeps in contact with. I took this when she was texting/facebooking/something:)

Sat., I went and cheered on a friend who was running a 5K and picked up my shirt.....watched from the side lines :( This is the course I was running on last Sunday when I rolled my ankle!

Today, my hubby and I took the lil mr to our fav chinese joint......
his newest thing is sushi....
it kills me cause the kid doens't eat anything...
but will eat this!
{i have to sneak pics of him too, why do they do this to me?}

This was my fortune....and how true it is!!!

And HHL, this ones for you!!!

  1. What a time you've had! Hopefully your answers aren't bad ones and your ankle gets better. I love Tory Burch flats but I am a whopping size 10 so I couldn't wear those if I tried!

  2. First my friend let me say .. you are one of the most inspiring gals I know .. despite your ankle (and boy do I know how ankles affect every move one takes even laying down it can feel like a dagger each time you move.).. you did not let it get in the way of enjoying the time with your loved ones! many people would just let this take over their life...

    Loved Mini Me's sunglasses ~ your son is adorable ... girl your are going to have the girls breaking down the door and that phone line is going to be non-stop!! Between him and Mini Me .. I see you needing many glasses of wine (in a good way)...

    Feel better... elevate that ankle... and what a wonderful husband - to be taking such good care of you, you deserve some extra pampering. They will probably give you a Holster (that's what they call it up here) to wear for a 24 hour period you'l be hooked up and it will monitor your heart throughout that time. You are in my thoughts and prayers that all will come back just fine!!!

    That last picture ... PRICELESS !!! to cute for words... XO HHL

  3. I am sorry about the heart things. I hope it is nothing. I thoguth the same thing about the stress test, don't you run on a treadmill...how are you suppose to with a bum ankle?! Anywho, I finished shopping for my exchange partner and I am shipping it to her this week!! Should I e-mail you a picture of the presents inside and the package?

  4. I love your hair curly....it's so pretty like that!!

  5. keeping you in my prayers! i hope everything goes well!

  6. Take care of yourself, my friend! I'm sorry I've been so MIA, it's bad that one of my babies has to be hospitalized in order for me to catch up with my BFs.

  7. Waiting for test results is stressful in itself. Hope it all comes back ok or that you get some answers!

  8. BALLS! I love it! Your curly hair is super pretty. And no one is ever too young to see a heart doctor... I have super yucky high cholesterol, and I'm still sitting on actually going to a doctor and being prescribed medicine for it... we shall see. In the meantime, I hope all is well, hun!

  9. I am so sorry to hear about your heart. I had a huge heart scare when i was a senior in high school and actually had to have surgery. Just glad you noticed it and went to see the doc. I hope everything will be fine and I will keep you in my prayers!

  10. Keep on top of your health, girl! And, there's nothing simple about heart related issues, always get it checked out! Great photo share from the weekend. I've got to get in touch about all the races on the ES. I enjoy running, but nothing to serious! Your new word is too funny! Like you I don't cuss, mostly because of the little ears always around, but have adopted the British slang word bullocks as my go to cuss word substitute. It basically means the same thing as your word, but since it's British it just sounds good! Haha! Still working on our button and what not...will definitely have it ready for next Tuesday (first week of Nov.) perfect time to start a regular Tuesday feature! Take care!

  11. I hope you received the goodies from the give-away. No need to let me know if you did but if you didn't let me know. :)

    I had an echo stress test after experiencing chest pains walking up stairs while I was dropping son2 off at college. Everything was fine and probably stress but best to just do it so you don't have to worry about it. Wear comfortable shoes. You will feel like your heart is going to pop out of your chest because you'll be walking so fast on a killer incline but it will be relatively short. Good luck! You'll do great! :)

    On the Revas, I find I have to get an entire size bigger. I normally wear a 7 and get an 8. I was buying a pair at the same time as someone else was and we were both saying we have to size up an entire size. I put Scholl's foamy pad in and they are more bearable after that but still not an all day shoe for me. I think my feet changed after having kids and I heard that our feet continue to grow. I'm beginning to believe it.

    Love to you. :) xoxo

  12. So sorry about the heart thing. I've been having some weird things going on, too. Something in the air? Oh, and the ankle thing stinks. So sorry. Why is the lil mr. in a Bama cap? Please tell me it's a Braves cap! Make me feel better. :)

  13. I hate to hear about the heart thing. One of my cousins took a chemical stress test because she wasn't able to get on the treadmill.
    Feel better!

  14. You are so pretty!

    I know...you don't appreciate your health until it's "threatened" and you just want everything to be okay. Blog and de stress as much as you need to , I want you to be A-O-K :)

    Great pics, thanks for the update!

  15. I hope everything turns out fine with your heart. I am sorry you had to go through that! I hate to hear about your ankle. Hopefully, you will be back on your feet running before you know it! I will keep you in my prayers! Hugs to you!

  16. Your story sounds all too familiar (without the rolled ankle). I hope that everything turns out and will keep you in my prayers!

  17. Oh the Breakfast at Tiffany's sleep mask - love it! You will be in my thoughts and prayers...
